Not every scene is logged for the forums. It's a privilege reserved for exceptional and unusual scenes that are either enduringly amusing, relevant to the global plot of the MUCK, or are otherwise moving and memorable.

The logs that have been posted in this section are for the perusal of registered players. We have found that offering them as "example scenes" to guests sets too high a perceived bar of quality, or creates too much perceived pressure and expectation that all scenes must be stunning, brilliant, moving, action-packed and have a large impact on the world around them, when that's simply not the case.

Some of our scenes are world-shaking. Some of our scenes feature cruel torture and otherworldly delights. Some of our scenes are just two people walking down the street or chatting in a pub. Some scenes are great scenes, but don't translate well to accessible fiction because of the depth of background knowledge required to understand them, or because they're just a "you had to be there" sort of thing. A moment that's deeply important to the few who are experiencing it may be lost in translation when shared with the greater whole.

Our roleplay is freeform. We supply the world and its rules, you supply the characters to try to get along in this crazy, twisted world, and the character interaction and development springs most naturally from the unexpected mesh of personalities and peoples that get thrown together here.
